History is Waiting. I Vote McCain.

It is indeed very rare in history that we have two Presidential nominees facing off against one another who are both great choices for America. Barak Obama is young, enthusiastic and pumped full of fresh ideas. Ther is no doubt in my mind that this charismatic young Senator will rally young Americans in ways not seen since JFK. On the other hand we have a Republican maverick that has continually used his highest since of right since his five and a half years as a POW in Vietnam. His experience and leadership cannot be denied. John McCain is his own man.

I remember reading an article in Esquire last winter that all but dismissed McCain as a contender for the Republican nomination. With the primaries yet to start, McCain was way down in the polls and was broke. To most men this would be a sign to slip quietly back to their respectable position as the Senior Senator from Arizona, but most men are not like John McCain. McCain fired the doubters on his staff and with an old leased bus began working harder. It was like the Marine in him came out and the face of defeat was his motivation, and look what happened.

Will I vote for McCain because of this? No, but I will admire him. I will vote for John McCain next Tuesday because I believe that John McCain has lived life more than Mr. Obama and has a better understanding of life. Not only does McCain know war first hand, but he has sons who have served in Iraq. McCain knows we cannot just abandon the Iraqi people and he has a plan. I myself would never want to be the one standing between John McCain and his goal.

McCain will also do better in the international arena where he will command instant respect. What Bush has torn down with countries such as China, Russia and France, McCain will quickly rebuild because he already has international respect and trust. I’m not talking about international peace here, I’m talking about the building of a global economy which makes international peace a must.

Most of all, McCain is no man nor parties’ puppet. The selection of Sarah Palin was his strongest message yet to the Republican Party that a John McCain White House will not be a Republican White House, but will be the people’s White House. His record as a Senator shows him voting with the Democrats nearly as often as with the Republicans. Like I said before, John McCain is his own man. He will never duck away from what needs to be done. His first 100 days in the White House will be the most productive first 100 in the history of this country.

I have never voted for a Republican Presidential Nominee before, and I even worked for Obama during the California primary. Barak Obama deserves to be President of the United States, but not in 2008. I believe McCain will not run again in 2012, and that is the time for Obama. Allow McCain’s experience to dig us out of Bush’s corrupt mess and then let Obama lead us into the future.

I am but one man and one vote. This is my choice. untitled-2-1.jpg John McCain =] :] Sara Palin Sarah image by samiwashere194
